𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗭𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗿 – 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟬-𝟭𝟮 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) IX successfully held its 𝗟𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗚𝗔𝗗): 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝟮 on 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟬-𝟭𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰, at the 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗹, 𝗗𝗜𝗟𝗚 𝗜𝗫, 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗸, 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆. The activity was attended by members of the DILG IX Gender and Development Focal Point System (GFPS), who engaged in comprehensive discussions aimed at enhancing their understanding and implementation of gender-responsive strategies.

The sessions featured 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗿𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗠. 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗼 from the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) National Pool of GAD Resource Persons. Assistant Professor Ferolino led the discussions on crucial topics including Gender Analysis, GAD Mainstreaming, the Gender Responsive LGUs (GeRL) Assessment Tool, GFPS Functionality Assessment Tool (GFAST), the Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines (HGDG), and the Gender Mainstreaming Evaluation Framework (GMEF).

The activity provided valuable insights and tools for advancing gender equality and empowering the organization and the LGUs to effectively integrate gender considerations into their development programs and policies. The event underscored DILG IX’s commitment to promoting gender-responsive governance and ensuring that gender perspectives are incorporated into all levels of planning and decision-making.
